About the Project
Crunchbase, a leader focusing on company insights, knows that being efficient and fast is important to company success. To achieve this, they needed to streamline their operations, so they partnered with Marquee Project.
The RevOps team at Crunchbase spent too much time on Salesforce operations, many of which were manual. They faced challenges like transitioning automation methods, aggregating activity data, migrating workflows, fixing errors, automating team adoption tracking, and creating new opportunity conversion processes.

The Challenge
The Crunchbase RevOps team found themselves focusing too much of their time with Salesforce operations. Many of the processes were requiring updates to be done manually which was making them lose precious time. Many of the challenges included ncluded transitioning existing process builder automation to Apex Triggers, aggregating total activities and creating new fields for each contact and opportunity, migrating workflows, addressing account trigger errors, automating the population of the team adoption field, and developing new flows for conversion opportunities.
Aggregating Activity Data
Crunchbase needed to have more details for each contact and opportunity such as new fields and aggregate total activities. To have these fields was necessary to have more valuable information available so the RevOps team can make informed decisions based on accurate data. These changes made sure no valuable information was left unturned which helped Crunchbase engage for effectively with their customers.
Workflow Migration and Error Resolution
Moving workflows from one system to another can be tricky and must be done correctly. The team managed to successfully move all existing workflows into the new setup. Account trigger errors were also found and fixed making sure the data is updated and reliable.
Team Adoption Field Automation
To measure team adoption effectively, it was crucial to automate the population of this field. By doing so, the RevOps team could effortlessly track and analyze how different teams and individuals were utilizing Salesforce. This data-driven approach offered valuable insights into user behavior and system usage, enabling Crunchbase to refine their training and adoption strategies.
Creating Conversion Opportunity Flows
To streamline the process of converting opportunities, new flows were created. These flows ensured that each step in the conversion process was well-defined and user-friendly. This simplified the experience for the RevOps team, enabling them to close deals more efficiently and accurately.
